AAB 100 year jubilee book
In close collaboration with a journalist and a photojournalist I contributed to the book “Room to Live” for Danish housing association AAB.
I did more than 20 illustrations, comics and spot illustrations to accompany the stories from a various array of current and past residents in AAB housings.
The coverdesign is by me as well.
One of the more remarkable stories we were told during the project, were from Gerda, a resident at Emdrupvænge. She told us the story of her brother, Bent, who were shot in the neighbourhood by German soldiers two days before the libeartion in 1945.
The picture to the right is from when we visited Gerda at her house. I showed her my developement sketches of the comic and she showed me old letters and documents from the war, to make sure everything was told correctly.
